HU media guides some of the best in the nation

HUNTINGTON, Ind. - Three Huntington University media guides received national recognition in the annual publications contests conducted by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics-Sports Information Directors Association (NAIA-SIDA).

The organization, comprised of sports information directors at NAIA schools, announced the publication winners at the NAIA-SIDA Convention in Daytona Beach, Fla. held in June.

Both the men’s women’s basketball media guides finished third among all NAIA schools with the women’s guide sharing their third place finish with Lee University. The Forester baseball media guide also received national attention, selected for best cover in the Walt McAlexander Baseball Brochure contest.

This marks the 11th time in 12 years that Huntington University has received national recognition in the NAIA-SIDA Publications Contest.

The Huntington University Foresters compete in 16 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 39 NAIA All-America honors and 213 All-America Scholar Athlete honors.
