The HU
men's soccer team earned a hard-fought 1-0 overtime win against the Beavers of Bluffton University on Saturday afternoon.
After a scoreless 90 minutes of soccer, the Foresters wasted no time in the extra period to grab an exciting road win. Just 38 ticks into OT, Kyle Geiss slid behind the defense on the right side and slotted it to the center of the box where a streaking Brandon Gamble tapped it in for the game-winner.
Chris Fox and Drew Mattingly split goalie time, recording three and two save respectively. The Foresters finished with 13 shots compared to the Beavers' 17. With this win, HU moves to 2-6 on the season. The Foresters open up MCC play with a home game against Grace on Wednesday.
