Foresters receive national recognition

Huntington, Ind. - After finishing the fall portion of their schedule with a perfect 13-0 record, the Forester men's tennis team has garnered national attention as they are currently ranked 26th in the NAIA national poll.

Several Foresters also received individual recognition at the national level. Freshman Vladislav Khudziy (Moscow, Russia) is ranked 5th in the national poll while teammate Augusto Velez (Lima, Peru) is currently 45th in the national standings.

HU wrapped up their unblemished fall season by winning the 2010 MCC Tournament. As the MCC Champions, the Foresters earned an automatic bid to the NAIA National Tournament to be held in Mobile, Alabama, May 17-21.

The Foresters' home opener is slated for March 24 against Trine University at 4:00 p.m.
The Huntington University Foresters compete in 14 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 53 NAIA All-America honors and 173 All-America Scholar Athlete honors. Huntington University is a comprehensive Christian college of the liberal arts offering graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 70 academic concentrations.
