In their final conference match of the season, the Foresters lost 7-2 to Marian College. Playing singles first, the match was close with the Foresters trailing 3-2 with Tyler Moore’s match going into the third set. Marian's Jesse Martin was able to outlast Moore with the 3-6, 7-5, 7-5 win. The loss took the wind out of the Forester sails and they dropped all three doubles matches. HC’s two wins came at #3 singles and #6 singles where Jason Stump (6-4, 6-2) and Brian Lambright (6-2, 6-2) earned straight set victories. “I am very proud of the way Tyler played today,” said HC coach Gary Turner. “He has been playing hurt all season and just keeps working hard.” With the loss, the men conclude their conference schedule with a 1-6 record and drop to 1-7 on the season.
