The Foresters (6-8) dropped a 7-2 decision to the visiting Taylor Trojans yesterday. The match was similar to the fall meeting between the two squads in that the Foresters dropped two three-setters in singles and lost one of the doubles in a tie-breaker.
Dustin Ecker and the doubles team of Tyler Moore and Brian Lambright were the only winners on the day. Ecker had an easy time of it defeating Ben Billman 6-2, 6-2 at #6 singles while Moore and Lambright took the #1 doubles match 8-2. Moore and Daron Short both dropped hard-fought three-setters in their singles matches.
“I am continuing to see progress in the team,” said Coach Turner. “All I ask them to do is get a little better each time they play and I can see the progress even if the final score doesn’t show it.”
