Carter signs with Huntington

Huntington, Ind. - The Huntington University softball team has added a local product to its roster for /uploadedImages/News/News_Release_Images/Athletics/Carter-Cristin.jpgnext season with the signing of Southern Wells High School standout Cristin Carter.

Carter, a four-time ACAC All-Conference selection, will add depth to the Foresters’ pitching staff. She pitched Southern Wells to a semi-state appearance this past year. When not playing for Raiders, she plays travel ball for the Red Chix organization that that won the 18U World Series in 2010.

“Cristin is an excellent athlete who is versatile,” commented Coach Gower. “She is a perfectionist and wants to be the best. She will be a solid contributor to our program.”

Carter plans to major in exercise science.  She is the daughter of Mike and Jill Carter of Montpelier, Indiana.
The Huntington University Foresters compete in 14 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 53 NAIA All-America honors and 187 All-America Scholar Athlete honors.
