Huntington, Ind.— Huntington College announced today that Mike Tribolet has been named varsity women's softball coach. Tribolet brings a variety of experiences to the position including having served as HC's assistant softball coach last year.
Tribolet played four years of baseball at Huntington North High School and a year in the Stan Musial baseball league in Fort Wayne. Tribolet also has coached various youth league teams in Huntington County for the past ten years including boys Pony league and girls fast-pitch teams. Tribolet currently serves as a member of Huntington College's maintenance staff.
“Mike has already established himself as a valuable member of our campus community in his role on the maintenance staff. We are pleased that he will have the opportunity to use another of his talents as our softball coach,” said athletic director Lori Culler. “His diverse coaching experiences and his position as assistant softball coach last year will be beneficial in helping us make a smooth transition in the program. We look forward to Mike's leadership and development of the program.”
Huntington College is a member of the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) and competes within the Mid Central Conference (MCC). The Huntington College Foresters compete in 14 varsity sports for men and women.
