The Foresters competed at the DePauw University Indoor Track Classic where the men placed sixth and the women finished eighth.
On the men's side, Kam Bailey led the way for the Foresters. He finished first in the 200 meters with a time of 22.96. He also won the 400 meters with a time of 51.44. Other highlights included Lance Wood's second place finish in the 5000 meters with a time of 16:07.97. In the 3000 meters, Joseph Herber finished third with a time of 8:51.56 while teammate Luke Diehl crossed the line fifth in 9:09.86. Joel Thatcher placed fourth in the weight throw with his toss of 43-05.25. In pole vault, Aaron Mills captured second with a leap of 13-01.50 while Tyler Skinner finished fifth with a jump of 12-01.50.
Wabash took the men's team title with a score of 141.5 followed by Bellarmine (107), Cumberlands (86), Rhodes (78), DePauw (72.5), HU (68), Earlham (65), Centre (35), Lindsey Wilson (34) and Vincennes (17).
In women's action, Josann Schoeff brought home two top five finishes. She placed third in the 200 meters with a time of 26.91 and sprinted to a fourth place finish in the 55 meters with a time of 7.51. Other top five finishes included Molly Shirey in the 5000 meters (4th, 20:38.41), Abbey Wise in the 600 meters (5th, 1:47.84) and Michelle Kyler in the pole vault (3rd, 10-00.00)
Vincennes won the women's event with a score of 117 followed by Cuyahoga CC (112), Rhodes (103), Bellarmine (102.5), DePauw (96.5), Earlham (48), Cumberlands (42), HU (32), Centre (29), Lindsey Wilson (17) and St. Mary-of-the-Woods (14).
