HUNTINGTON, Ind. - Up against 11th-ranked Indiana Wesleyan University, the Forester volleyball team couldn’t withstand the Wildcats firepower at the net as they dropped a three-set decision, 25-12, 25-13, 25-15, Wednesday night at the Merillat Complex.
There were several bright spots to the contest as HU matched the Wildcats with five team blocks and committed only six serving errors to IWU’s 12. But it was Wesleyan’s attack that proved to be the difference in the game as they outhit the Foresters 41-14.
Abbey Keister and Brittany Rooze tallied four and three kills respectively for Huntington. Jensen Carnahan finished with eight assists and eight digs to lead the Foresters in two statistical categories.
HU (0-8, 0-3) is back in action on Friday when they travel to Goshen College for a 7:00 p.m. match-up.
