HUNTINGTON, Ind. -The Forester volleyball team picked up its second Crossroads win of the season in convincing fashion in front of its home crowd Wednesday with a sweep of Spring Arbor University, 25-17, 25-18, 25-17.
A balanced attack and solid defense proved to be key to HU's success. Brittany Rooze paced Huntington's offense with nine kills while teammates Melissa Grossman and Abbey Keister finished with seven apiece. Also getting into the mix was Kaylee Searles and Jensen Carnahan who added five kills each. Carnahan also tallied 29 assists and 13 digs in the match.
Defensively, Katie Bowers led the way with 16 digs while Rooze added another 14.
HU (2-12, 2-7) takes a break from conference play on Saturday when they host a Tri-Match with Davenport University and Purdue North Central.
