Huntington, Ind. - The Mid-Central College Conference (MCC) announced its 2011 All-Conference teams and among the list of honorees were HU's Melissa Grossman, Jensen Carnahan and Brittany Rooze.
Sophomore Melissa Grossman, a Huntington native (Huntington North H.S.), was selected to the Honorable Mention Team. She led the Foresters in blocks with 73 and finished the season with 130 kills. Along with Carnahan, she led the conference in serving aces per set. They both finished with 44 aces in 107 sets for a .4 average.
The Freshmen duo of Jensen Carnahan (Leo, IN, Lakewood Park Christian H.S.) and Brittany Rooze (West Lafayette, IN, Benton Central H.S.) were also Honor Mention picks.
As the Forester setter, Carnahan spearheaded the offense. She tallied 790 assists on the season. She also made her presence known at the net where she finished third in total blocks with 45.
Rooze quickly established herself as one of the top hitters in the league. She led the Forester attack with 268 kills. She also paced the defense with a team-high 230 digs.
The Foresters wrapped up the 2011 season with an overall record of 8-23.
