Berry named Huntington University Athlete of Week

Huntington, Ind.—The Huntington University Athletic Department announced its Athlete of the Week for the week of Jan. 1-7. Women’s basketball senior Amy Berry earned the honor for her outstanding play during the week’s competition.

Amy Berry, a public relations major from Marion, Ind. (Oak Hill High School), helped Huntington get off to a good start as they returned to Mid-Central Conference play. In the Foresters’ 62-44 win over Spring Arbor University, Berry took game-high scoring honors with 20 points on 8-12 shooting, including 2-3 from behind the arc. Berry is leading the Foresters in scoring with her 17.3 points per game, and she adds 4.6 boards per contest. Huntington (10-5, 2-3) returns to action on Jan. 10 when the team travels to Marion to take on the NAIA Division II top-ranked Wildcats of Indiana Wesleyan University at 7 p.m.
