Greene joins Forester program

Huntington University women's basketball coach Lori Culler announced that Peru High School standout, Allison Greene, will join the Forester program next season.

Greene, a 5’5 guard, capped off a stellar basketball career by helping lead Peru to a 13-8 record with her team-leading 18 points and three steals per game. She will graduate having scored 936 career points.

Greene’s success on the court garnered her numerous individual accolades. As a senior, she earned First Team honors in the Kokomo Area, the Mid-Indiana Conference as well as in Miami County. Greene also was named the Co-Player of the Year in Miami County and was selected to play in the Hoosier Select All-Star game in May.

Huntington University basketball coach, Lori Culler, is looking forward to the attributes Greene will add to the team. "Allison is a gritty player that goes as hard as she can on every play," said Coach Culler. "That work ethic coupled with her ability to score will make her a tremendous asset to our team. She can put the ball on the floor as well as shoot the three. Her long-range shooting will definitely be a plus. Beyond what she will bring to the court, Allison is a top-notch individual that will also make an impact on our campus."

Greene, the daughter of Joe and Kathi Greene, plans to major in exercise science.
