The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has announced the Division II women’s basketball awards for the 2007-08 season with two Huntington University Foresters among the list of honorees.
Two juniors Katie Crandall (Anderson, IN, Lapel High School) and Lauren Davenport (Andrews, IN, Huntington North High School) earned All-America Scholar-Athlete honors. Recipients of the award must have at least a junior academic standing and carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5.
Crandall, an Exercise Science major, joined the Foresters late in the season and averaged 1.2 points in six games for Huntington. Davenport, also an Exercise Science major, was the team’s third leading scorer at 12.4 points per game and leader in assists averaging 4.0 dishes per contest as the starting point guard.
