The Foresters went toe-to-toe with NAIA 23rd-ranked Spring Arbor University playing to a scoreless tie at intermission, but the Cougars were able to net two in the second half to shut out HU 2-0.
The Cougars put their first goal on the board two minutes into the second half and then put the game out of reach with another goal at the 60:12 mark.
Spring Arbor generated 28 shots in the match to six for the Foresters. HU keeper Emily Walker recorded 12 saves in the contest to keep the Cougars within striking distance.
With the loss, HU falls to 6-6-1 on the season and 1-3 in the MCC.
