Huntington, Ind.—Next season, Joshua Kesler will move from the women's soccer program and take the reins of HC's men's soccer program. Kesler, who served last year as HC's women's head coach, brings a variety of playing and coaching experiences to the position. As a student-athlete at Huntington College, he was a four-year participant in the men's soccer program and later served as an assistant coach for the program. Kesler also has held coaching positions at Grand Ledge and Waverly high schools and led HC's women's program in its inaugural season this past fall. Currently, Kesler also serves as Assistant Director of Campus Life at Huntington North High School.
"We are pleased that Josh will be taking over the men's soccer program. Josh was a welcomed addition to our staff as the women's coach this past fall. He did a great job of leading our women and gained valuable experience that will help make his transition a smooth one. He also brings immense enthusiasm and energy to the position that will aid him in his new role. We certainly are looking forward to Josh's leadership of the program," said Athletic Director Lori Culler.
Huntington College also announced today that Jack Barlow, Jr. will join the HC coaching staff as head coach of the women's soccer program. Barlow, a native of Huntington County, has been involved with soccer for many years. He played four years at Huntington North High School and was a four-year letterman at Huntington College. After graduation, he served as an assistant coach for the men's program for two years. As a local businessman, Barlow currently serves as Vice President at Lehman Electronics.
"We are excited to have Jack join our coaching staff. He has been involved in soccer at a variety of levels and brings a great enthusiasm for the sport to HC. His soccer experience and knowledge give him the tools to build on what was begun last season in the program's first year. We are looking forward to having Jack and his family involved again in the HC community," said Culler.
