It took the Forester women's soccer
team a few extra minutes to dispose of Bluffton University as they squeaked by the Beavers 2-1 in overtime.
Huntington struck first in the tenth minute of play when Justine Jost's header found the back of the net on a perfect cross from Amanda Macahilig. The Beavers tied things up at the 56:23 mark and following 33 minutes of scoreless soccer to end period two, the squads took a 1-1 tie into the extra session. Three minutes into overtime, Brittany Hartman ran down a goal kick and slotted it past the keeper for the game-winner.
Huntington outshot the Beavers 17-11. HU keeper Megan Soltow recorded three saves on the day. The 4-3 Foresters travel to Mount Vernon Nazarene on Tuesday.
