Up against a talented Taylor team, the HU women's soccer
team took care of business with a 1-0 overtime win against the Trojans.
After a scoreless 90 minutes of soccer, the Foresters put an end to Taylor's five-game shutout streak when Brittany Hartman tapped the game-winner past the goalie in the tenth minute of overtime to give HU their second MCC win.
"This was a good win for our team and the program overall. Taylor was a strong team and we were happy to still be undefeated in conference," commented Coach Burgher. "Our goal is to continually get better as a team and a program. We know what goals we have for this season and we are battling everyday to meet those.
"We are excited to play IWU on Saturday. This is the biggest game of our season so far."
The Foresters outshot Taylor 10-9. HU keeper Caitlin Adams finished with five saves.
HU's record stands at 6-5-1, 2-0-1 in MCC play. They travel to Indiana Wesleyan on Saturday for a 7:00 p.m. face-off against the #9-ranked Wildcats.
