WARSAW, Ind. - The Forester women’s soccer team recorded its sixth victory of the season Friday night at the CCAC in Warsaw, Indiana, with a 3-1 win over the Warriors of Rochester College.
It’s turning into a routine affair for HU as they controlled the match from opening kick-off to dominate the contest. The Foresters tallied 21 shots, 16 on goal, to the Warriors’ three.
Samantha Barclay went the distance in goal and finished with two saves.
HU’s first goal came of the day came at the 30-minute mark hen Sam Cubic found the back of the net off a corner. Brittany Hartman made it 2-0 ten minutes into the second period when she blasted one from 35 out into the upper 90 for her second goal of the season.
The Warriors countered 15 minutes later but Amy Snider made sure the Foresters’ lead stuck when she slotted one past the keeper on an assist from Elise Mamanu-Grey to round out the day’s scoring.
HU (6-1) faces Trinity Christian College on Tuesday at 4:00 p.m.
