After spending the last two years at North Central College, Krause is the latest addition to the Forester roster.

In her time at Black Forest Academy, Krause was not only a four-year starter for the basketball and soccer programs, but also received All-Region honors in both sports. Her greatest athletic accomplishments were being named the Division II All-Tournament MVP and being selected First Team Soccer All-European. Off the field Alyssa was the yearbook editor. At NCC she was a member of Cardinal Athletic Training Students (CATS).

Krause, who plans to pursue a degree in physical education and an MA in athletic training, says, “I’ve been at a secular college for almost two years now and this past year I realized I needed a different environment that could encourage my spiritual growth. As a result, I began to search for Christian colleges that had a community feeling. Although I had a couple of different colleges to choose from, Huntington drew me in with their Christian environment, physical education program, athletic training opportunities and the chance to play soccer. I decided Huntington University was the best college for me. I’m excited to start a new college career in a Christian environment with the opportunity to play soccer alongside my sister.”

She is the daughter of Jerry and Gina Krause. Her sister Jessica just completed her freshman year at Huntington and is a member of the women’s soccer team.
The Huntington University Foresters compete in 14 intercollegiate sports for men and women. In the past decade, Huntington has produced 53 NAIA All-America honors and 173 All-America Scholar Athlete honors. Huntington University is a comprehensive Christian college of the liberal arts offering graduate and undergraduate programs in more than 70 academic concentrations. U.S.News & World Report ranks Huntington among the best colleges in the Midwest.
