Rachael Boersma
Rachael Boersma, a language arts education major from Grand Rapids, Mich. (Grand Rapids Christian High School), helped lead the Foresters to a 3-0 week. She was a solid performer winning five of her six matches. Against Grace on Tuesday, Boersma teamed with Dawn Lauer at #3 doubles for the 8-3 win, and in back-to-back contests on Saturday, she won all four of her matches. She made quick work of Earlham’s Michelle Calhoun at #6 singles winning 6-0, 6-2 and again worked with Lauer for the 8-3 victory in doubles. In the afternoon, Boersma defeated Marian’s Roxanne Moghadden 7-5, 6-2 in singles and finished with a convincing 8-1 win with Lauer at #3 doubles. The Foresters are currently 7-10 on the season and next travel to Anderson University to take on the Ravens on Thursday, April 14 at 4:30 p.m.
