After losing two of three doubles matches, the Foresters came back with four singles' wins to get by Taylor University 5-4.
Jessica Deter and Katie Sprunger picked up HU's only point in doubles with an 8-4 win at #3, and then continued their solid play with straight set wins in singles. Deter took down Jennifer Warner 6-1, 6-1 at #4 and Sprunger won just as easily with a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Sarah Reed. Kendra Ganz then gave the Foresters a 4-2 lead with her 6-3, 6-1 win over Kaiti Marsh in #3 singles. Raelyn Althoff and Liz Hull both lost tough three-set matches to even the team score at 4-4.
Calli Fike was that last Forester remaining on the court and HU's final hope for victory. After losing the first set 6-1 to the Trojan's Kristine Bolinger, Fike turned things around and won the next two 6-2, 6-1 to give the Foresters the hard-fought win.
With the win, the Foresters improve to 15-6 on the season.
