Huntington, Ind.—Huntington University freshman Megan House will hold a book signing at 7 p.m. on May 14 at the Huntington City Township Public Library, 200 W. Market St., Huntington. The event is open to the public.
House, a journalism major from Huntington, Ind., will sign copies of her first novel, “Passage to Freedom,” released in January 2007. The 192-page book, aimed at inspiring young adults, tells a story of a Jewish girl and her family escaping from Amsterdam to England during World War II. The story illustrates how the main character, Anya Kaskie, strives to find freedom from the Nazis’ rule, but also how she finds freedom within herself as she grows and develops into a young woman.
The book is available at major retailers, such as BarnesAndNoble.com, Borders.com and Amazon.com, as well as in the Huntington University campus bookstore.
The publisher, PublishAmerica, is the same company that released books by 2005 Huntington graduate Rachel Tinon and Huntington senior Josh Clark.
