Huntington, Ind.—The annual community performance of Handel’s Messiah has been ringing in the holiday season in Huntington for 50 years. This year’s Messiah, performed by the Community Festival Chorus, Huntington College Concert Choir and Huntington College Orchestra will be presented at St. Mary’s Catholic Church on Sunday, December 5 at 7:30.
The performance will feature soloists from HC music faculty including Dr. John Thompson, assistant professor of music, singing baritone; Mr. Ben Kendall, instructor in music, singing tenor; and Mrs. Joni Killian, adjunct professor in music, singing soprano. Dr. George W. Killian, professor of choral education, will conduct the 50th anniversary celebration.
The performance will be free to the public but seating is limited. Early arrival is suggested for optimal seating of this popular event.
