Ashley Smith

Assistant Director for Media Relations

Ashley Smith came to Huntington University as its Assistant Director for Media Relations in March 2010. She is responsible for promoting the University through local media outlets, primarily in the Huntington and Fort Wayne areas.

Before coming to the university, Smith had worked in various newspaper markets in Indiana and Ohio, most recently as the education reporter for the Fort Wayne, Ind., News-Sentinel.

Smith was born and raised in Fort Wayne, Ind., where she graduated in 2001 from Blackhawk Christian School. She then went on to receive a Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications/Journalism from Taylor University in 2005. She also holds a minor in Studio Art/Photography.

Smith enjoys photography, traveling and cooking, especially trying new recipes which may or may not prove to be successful.
