Greetings and thank you for your interest in Huntington University! I’m
excited that you have taken this opportunity to explore our institution
and really begin to examine some of the values and characteristics in our
Christian college.
My job here at
Huntington
includes assisting the admissions counselors with their campus visitors,
as well as responding to all of your e-mail questions! Often times
whenever you send in a question to our Admissions Office, it will get
forwarded onto me and I will be the one to respond.

| Me & my husband
Jason down in Kentucky. |
I
first came to
Huntington as a
high school graduate. I was looking for a small Christian school with my
major of interest. I was a Recreation Management Major with an emphasis in
Outdoor Recreation. In my search, I found that
Huntington
had my field as well as a solid foundation in which to grow, mature, and
test my faith.
As a student I had the opportunity to participate in floor
Bible studies through our Resident Hall CMC’s (Campus Ministry
Coordinators), travel to Camp Michindoh in Michigan as part of an
off-campus J-term experience, and travel to Bailey, CO through my
Recreation Internship! My favorite memories include Powder Puff Football
(my floor was the fall, 2000 champion!) and HU Olympiad.
I really feel
that throughout my four years here, God gave me a solid base in which to
build confidence, test my limits, and go through experiences I never
thought I would have had otherwise! I also had the chance to meet my
husband at Huntington, who was a 2003 graduate in Graphic Design and is
now employed at a local company doing just that!
I
would like to encourage you to check out Huntington University and see what a
variety of programs we have to offer you.

Get to know Melissa
Huntington Memory….
One of my favorite memories @ HU was during the
winter one year, a bunch of friends and I set off around campus
making as many snowmen as we could. At one point we gave up and just
decided to make one enormous snowball that made it halfway through
campus! It had to be at least 6 ft. tall – and I have the pictures
to prove it!
I have joy when…
I hear laughter. I think there needs to be more
laughter.
The latest movie I saw in theaters…
Was the Chronicles of Narnia. I absolutely loved
it and would definitely recommend going out to see it!
