More from Sara Hey! I’m glad that you managed to find your way to my page! My name is Sara, and I am your Admissions Counselor—I’m here to serve YOU! …Me, you ask? That’s right—YOU! I realize that this is a very exciting time for you, yet it’s a little scary as well. You are getting ready to transition into a life of your own and choosing a college is probably one of the biggest decisions you have ever made before. Am I right? Well, my job is to answer any questions you have throughout your admissions process and to guide you through this exciting time in your life. But before you start getting too nervous, allow me to introduce myself. I recently graduated from Huntington University in May of 2008 with a major in Entrepreneurial Small Business Management and a minor in Marketing. I am excited that I get the chance to share my college experiences with you. I can tell you all that HU has to offer and help you as you decide if it is a good fit for you as well. From the moment I stepped onto this campus as an early teen, I felt at home and knew that God wanted me here. However, I decided to look at other colleges, just to be safe, but nothing ever compared. That’s when I decided to make it official and become a Forester! As a student, I was involved in many activities on campus—most of them associated with Residence Life. I was a Resident Assistant (RA) for two years and an Assistant Resident Director (ARD) the next. Both of these are leadership positions that you will become much more familiar with during your college years. Who knows, you may even become an RA yourself! Outside of Residence Life, I volunteered for the Joe Mertz Center (JMC) and traveled with a group of students to Biloxi, Mississippi to do some relief work after Hurricane Katrina. Through these experiences, my love for HU grew even more as I developed lifelong relationships with peers and faculty/staff. Well, that’s enough about me!
