Can I study Nursing at Huntington University?
Dear Future Nurse,
Thanks for your interest in the
potential of pursuing a nursing degree at Huntington University. At this
time, here is what we can say about our proposed Bachelor of Science in
Nursing degree:
The Huntington University
faculty and administration have approved offering a bachelor of science
degree in nursing.
The first step in implementing their action is to
request and receive approval to offer the program from the Indiana State
Board of Nursing. This process involves providing extensive evidence of the
appropriateness of the curriculum, the faculty, the nursing leader, and
resources to support the program.
Efforts are currently underway by faculty
and staff, under the direction of the Interim Chair of the Nursing
Department, to gather, develop, and provide the appropriate evidence to the
Board, that hopefully will result in approval to admit students to the
nursing program.
The proposed baccalaureate nursing program will be built
upon a liberal arts foundation and Christian principles.
Check back to this page for
future updates on the progress of the program. We plan to add a
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) page in the near future that will answer
many of your
additional questions regarding the start of the program.
Meanwhile, we encourage you to
keep in contact with us. If you would be interested in receiving updates
regarding nursing and other developments at Huntington University, please
