awarded to Young Life Student Leaders
since 1994

Huntington University and the Merillat Foundation have teamed up to offer merit-based scholarship awards to Young Life student leaders. This partnership has awarded over 4 million dollars over the past 14 years to outstanding students. 

Our Merillat Scholarship for Young Life student leaders starts at $2,500 per year, but can be as much as $4,000 per year based on your grade point average (GPA) and test scores.

If you are a student leader in your local Young Life club, we encourage you to apply for this scholarship.

To begin, you'll need to apply for admission. Then, please complete the scholarship application and ask your Young Life director to write a reference letter in addition to a 2nd reference, a non-family member and non-YL staff person. We will also ask you to complete an interview.   All interviews begin in the mornings at 9:00 and will run through 2:00.  The interview will last about 45 minutes.  Please email or call your admissions counselor regarding our next interview date.
