Academic Leadership, Spiritual Vitality
Huntington University is consistently ranked among the top tier of Midwestern liberal arts colleges. More than 80% of Huntington University faculty have earned doctorates, one of the highest figures among all Christian colleges and universities. The University Fund helps HU attract outstanding Christian scholars, and provides them with the resources they need to teach students well.

The integration of faith and learning is the singular characteristic that distinguishes Huntington University from other academic institutions. At Huntington, Christian faith is central to all we do.  The University Fund underwrites programs that foster a spiritually vibrant campus. Our comprehensive Spiritual Formation Program enables students to attend bi-weekly chapels, student-led evening worship services, small group discussions, and monthly convocations on timely issues. Huntington University has been frequently listed in the John Templeton Foundation’s Honor Roll of Character-Building Colleges. In 1997, this prestigious report cited our Joe Mertz Center for Volunteer Service as an exemplary program.

Bridging the Gap
Tuition and fees paid by students cover only about 70% of the cost of a Huntington University education. The University Fund is needed to bridge the gap between student payments and Huntington’s actual operating expenses. Each year, more than $2 million must be given to The University Fund to further Huntington’s vital mission in Christian higher education.

Stewardship
Many alumni, parents, business leaders, and University friends make Huntington a priority in their Christian giving. They support Huntington University not out of a sense of obligation, but with joy, knowing that their gifts will help educate a new generation of Christian leaders -- men and women with proven character and integrity.

Present, Future Gifts to Huntington University
Gifts to The University Fund provide immediate support for the University’s current-year operations. Much of this support is provided directly to students in the form of grants and scholarships. In addition, The University Fund helps Huntington prepare for the future by providing much-needed support for the school’s strategic initiatives. Donor support of The University Fund can take many forms. Gifts by cash or check are the most popular, but contributions may also be made by credit card or routine electronic fund transfers from your bank. Gifts of stock may offer distinct tax advantages. Corporate matching gift programs help multiply your support of Huntington University.
