It was a busy weekend of softball for the Foresters as they hit the road for a pair of non-conference doubleheaders; sweeping Manchester University, 9-6, 8-4, Friday afternoon before dropping both games to a talented Calumet College of St. Joe squad, 7-6, 5-3, on Saturday.

Coming off three consecutive losses where they only managed five total runs, the Forester softball team got back on track with a pair of wins, 6-4, 6-3, over the Cardinals of Concordia University (20-18-1). Four different Foresters logged a long ball on the way to improving to 16-14 on the season.

For the third time this season, the Forester softball team dropped both games of a season series. This time it was the Trojans of Taylor University who handed HU back-to-back losses, 7-2, 2-1, at Gudakunst Field Wednesday afternoon.

The Huntington softball team’s seven game win streak came to an end Monday afternoon. After posting a convincing 8-1 win over Spring Arbor University, the Foresters dropped a 3-1 decision to the Cougars to split the season series and move to 14-12 overall, 8-6 in conference play.
