The Forester softball team lived up to its 3rd-seeded billing by going 3-2 over the two-day tourney to finish third in the Crossroads League tournament hosted by Marian University.

It was a busy weekend of softball for the Foresters as they hit the road for a pair of non-conference doubleheaders; sweeping Manchester University, 9-6, 8-4, Friday afternoon before dropping both games to a talented Calumet College of St. Joe squad, 7-6, 5-3, on Saturday.

Coming off three consecutive losses where they only managed five total runs, the Forester softball team got back on track with a pair of wins, 6-4, 6-3, over the Cardinals of Concordia University (20-18-1). Four different Foresters logged a long ball on the way to improving to 16-14 on the season.
