The Forester men’s track & field team dominated the Spartan Classic hosted by Manchester University Thursday afternoon with seven top finished while the HU women also had a strong showing that included three first place finishes.

In addition to breaking the school record in the 200 meters, sophomore Daniel DeBoni also punched his ticket to the 2014 NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships with his 3rd-place finish time of 21.60 at the 109th annual Little State Championships held at Indiana Wesleyan University over the weekend.

Earlier today the Crossroads League announced that Huntington University sophomore Daniel DeBoni (Goshen, Ind., Goshen HS) has been named the league’s Men’s Track Athlete of the Week for the week of April 7, 2014, for his outstanding efforts at the HU Invitational this past weekend.

The Forester track and field teams hosted their own invitational this weekend at the King Track & Field Stadium where the men finished second and the women placed fifth.

The HU women’s track team & field team brought home six top finishes on their way to claiming the Hanover College Invitational title with 146.5 points Saturday afternoon at the L.S. Ayres Athletic Complex.

The Forester track & field teams opened their outdoor season by spending the last part of their spring break down south competing in the Emory University Invitational where the men tied for 10th out of 23 teams while the women finished 16th out of 25 teams.
