4.10.04 - The four game series between the Foresters and the Marian College Knights that began with a doubleheader split ended in similar fashion with the Knights taking game one 3-2 and the Foresters winning game two 4-2.  In the first game, HC held a 2-1 lead heading into the bottom of the seventh, but Marian rallied for two runs to pick up the win.  Tim Burris (0-1), who came on in relief of Aaron Klopfenstein in the seventh, got the second out of the inning, but couldn't shut the door on the Knights.  Klopfenstein had a solid outing, giving up two earned runs on four hits and three walks while striking out two in six and a third innings of work.  Burris, Steve Orth, and Levi Sell each had two hits in the game.  In the second game, HC owned a 4-1 lead heading into the bottom of the seventh, but again the Knights would not go away quietly.  Joel Kennedy (4-2) gave up a run and had to get out of a bases loaded jam to earn the complete game victory for the Foresters.  HC's catcher, Greg Slee, had three hits in the game to lead the team.  "It was two good games," said Coach Frame.  "We have a very healthy rivalry with Marian, I think both teams respect each other very much.  We had a chance to win both games and lose both games.  We did not swing the bat as well as we have, but credit has to go to Marian's pitching."  The Foresters are now 11-13 on the season and 8-4 in the MCC.
