4.3.04 - In the Foresters' re-match with Grace, HC again split a pair of games losing the first 4-2 and winning the second 15-5.  In the opener, Grace scored two runs in the bottom of the first and added another in the fourth and sixth.  HC finally got on the board in the top of the seventh on a two-run double by Marc Roth, but the rally came up short when Brian Porter was called out on strikes to end the game.  Jason Stanley (1-3) went three and a third innings in the loss for the Foresters.  He gave up three earned runs on seven hits and three walks while striking out two.  In game two, HC's bats came alive.  The Foresters used four hits and four free passes to put six runs on the board in the top of the first, but Grace responded with 3 of their own in the bottom of the first.  HC returned the favor in the top of the second on a 3-run homerun by Aaron Klopfenstein, his first round-tripper of the season.  The two teams traded runs in the third and the Lancers scored their fifth run in the fourth, but the Foresters put the game out of reach with five more in the top of the fifth.  HC scored the runs on a fielder's choice, and error and a 3-run shot by Andy Janzen, also his first homerun of the season.  Josh Clark (3-1) pitched three innings to pick up the win for the Foresters.  He gave up four runs, two earned, on five hits and two walks.  The split gives the men an 8-11 record overall and a 6-2 record in the MCC.
