4.8.04 - The Foresters faced a Marian College squad that came to town with an undefeated (9-0) record in conference play and earned a split, winning game one 9-4 and losing game two 8-3.  In the opening game, Josh Clark picked up his fourth win of the season for the Foresters.  He pitched five and two thirds innings and gave up four earned runs on six hits and two walks while striking out four.  HC scored a single run in the bottom of the first and put four on the board in both the third and fifth innings to hand the Knights their first MCC defeat.  Tim Burris and Andy Janzen both had two hits in the game to lead the Foresters.  In the nightcap, the Foresters out-hit Marian 10-7, but too many free passes for the Knights led to the Foresters' demise.  Starting pitcher, Jason Stanley (1-4), gave up five earned runs on five hits and six walks in six innings, and Levi Sell, who came on in relief in the seventh, allowed three earned runs on two hits and two walks.  HC scored a run in the first, fifth, and sixth innings, but just couldn't get over the hump.  The split gives the Foresters a 10-12 record overall and a 7-3 record in the MCC
