03.05.05 - Josh Clark pitched a five-hit shutout to lead the Foresters (1-6) to their first win of the season, a 3-0 victory in the first game of Saturday's doubleheader with Campbellsville University (12-3).  HC got on board in the fourth when Austan Kas scored on a wild pitch and Tim Burris added a two-run homerun in the sixth.  In game two, the Tigers jumped out to a 4-1 lead with a pair of  runs in the first two innings.  The Foresters got one in the second and got back within a run with two in the fifth, but the rally ended there.  Burris (0-2) struggled early on the mound giving up all four runs on three hits and four walks with one strike out in the loss.

On Friday, HC played a single game against Campbellsville and fell 6-4.  The Foresters hit the ball well with 13 hits in the game, but just couldn't get the timely ones they needed as they stranded 13 runners during the game.  HC plated a run in the top of the first when Thad Frame scored on a sacrifice fly from Brian Porter, but Campbellsville answered with two in their half and never trailed after that.  The Tigers pushed a third run across in the second, and after the Foresters got a second run in the fourth, Campbellsville put the game out of reach with three runs in the sixth.  HC added two more in the seventh, but could get no closer.  Jason Stanley (0-2) went five and a third innings in the loss.  He gave up six runs, five earned, on 12 hits while striking out two.
