The Foresters dropped a pair of games to the Goshen College Maple Leafs,
falling 5-3 and 4-3 in their first MCC doubleheader of the season.
In game one, HC's pitching staff allowed the Leafs just two hits, but
three costly errors led to the Foresters' demise. Josh Clark
(1-4) went four and a third innings in the loss allowing four runs,
two earned, on one hit and five walks while striking out two.
In the nightcap, HC out-hit Goshen
13-8, but couldn't put enough together to overcome the four runs they
gave up early in the game. Ryan Finn (1-2) was the pitcher of
record for HC. He went two and a third innings and gave up four
runs on five hits and three walks. Levi Sell led the Foresters
at the plate on the day. He had four hits in the doubleheader,
which included a double in game one. With the losses, the Foresters fall to 5-13 on the year and 0-2 in
conference play. |
