05.12.05 - Huntington College has announced that LaPorte High School senior catcher Blake Hindsley has signed a letter of intent to play baseball for the Foresters this fall.  During his junior year, he posted a .380 batting average with two homeruns and 27 RBI. To date in his senior campaign, Hindsley is hitting .440 with two homeruns and 12 RBI. Behind the plate, he has thrown out 22 of 43 baserunners over the past two seasons.

“We are very excited that Blake has chosen Huntington,” says head baseball coach Mike Frame. “He has had a great career at the most storied high school baseball program in Indiana. He has a great work ethic and plays the game the right way. He is very solid defensively and offensively, and we think he will develop into an outstanding college catcher. He is also a fine young man with outstanding character.”

Blake is the son of Todd and Cathy Hindsley of LaPorte, Indiana.
