05.04.05 - Huntington College has announced that Kokomo High School senior Drew Taylor has signed a letter of intent to play baseball for the Foresters this fall. As a sophomore the 6’3 lefthander was 6-0 on the mound with a 0.90 ERA, with 2 perfect games and 45 strikeouts in 39 innings pitched. In his junior year (cut short by arm soreness), Taylor was 4-2 with a 0.95 ERA with one shutout and 24 strikeouts in 29 innings pitched.

“Drew has a chance to have an outstanding career in college,” says Head Baseball Coach Mike Frame. “He will help us on the mound right away.  He has a tremendous upside as he gets stronger and grows into his 6’3 frame. He knows how to pitch right now.  He is also a fine young man that will be a great representative of our program and our institution on and off the field.”

Drew is the son of Tim and Susan Taylor of Kokomo, Indiana.
