06.03.05 - Huntington University has announced that Cowan High School graduate Keith Benbow will transfer from Indiana Institute of Technology to play baseball for the Foresters this fall.  During his senior year in high school, Benbow hit .506 with four home runs and 26 RBI. Benbow also had six doubles, five triples, and was 27 for 29 in stolen bases.

“Keith’s decision to transfer to Huntington gives us another great athlete in the outfield,” says head baseball coach Mike Frame. “He is a great addition to another very good recruiting class. He has outstanding speed, a strong throwing arm, and a great bat. He will have a chance to help us right away in center field. With his ability he will have a chance to be a tremendous player at this level. Keith is also a great student and a fine young man. We are very happy he is transferring to Huntington.”

Keith is the son of Kyle and Kristi Benbow of Muncie, IN.
