05.04.05 - The Mid-Central Conference (MCC) has announced its baseball awards for the 2004-05 season.  Two Huntington College Foresters, senior Brian Porter and freshman Thad Frame, received All-Conference honors.  Porter was one of four outfielders to be selected and Frame was the top shortstop in the MCC.  Goshen’s Ben Taylor was named the MCC player of the Year and Marian’s head coach, Kurt Guldner, was named Coach of the Year.

Joining Porter and Frame on the All-Conference Team are catchers Kerry Yoder (Marian) and Zach Rodman (Bethel), first baseman Scott Edwards (Spring Arbor), second baseman Trent Mast (Taylor), third baseman Jeff TeBeau (Spring Arbor), utility infielder Joe Hannon (Bethel), outfielders Javier Guevara (Bethel), Eric Hisner (Goshen), and Trent Conn (Marian), designated hitter Joe Sobocinski (Spring Arbor), and pitchers Ben Taylor (Goshen), Justin Masterson (Bethel), Tanner Freeman (Marian), Kiel Atkinson (Indiana Wesleyan), and Chris Nycz (Taylor).
