02.23.07 - After pounding out 14 hits a day earlier, the Foresters were no-hit in an 11-1 opening loss to Union University and then fell 10-1 to the Bulldogs in the nightcap.

"Union played very, very well and just beat us in every phase of the game," said Coach Frame.  "It was a very disappointing day."

In game one, HU was down 4-0 before plating its only run in the top of the fourth.  Thad Frame reached on a two-base error.  He moved to third on an Andy Janzen ground out and then scored on an Alex Rinearson RBI ground out.

Michael Dalton took the loss for the Foresters.  He went four and two-thirds innings and gave up seven runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out one.

HU took a 1-0 lead in the top second in game two.  Levi Sell and Adam Farris led off the inning with back-to-back singles and then Sell scored when Adam Culy grounded into a double play.  The Foresters' lead was short-lived as Union plated three in their half of the inning and continued to add to it in each of their next four at-bats.

Eric Randel was the pitcher of record for HU allowing nine runs, but only four were earned as the Foresters committed four errors in the game.  Randel gave up 10 hits and a walk with two strikeouts in four and a third innings of work.
