04.24.07 - The Foresters got by Bethel College 11-10 in the opener, but then fell 6-4 in the nightcap.

Game one played more like a boxing match with one team matching the other blow for blow.  HU (19-16, 13-7) took a 1-0 lead in the first.  The Pilots plated four in the top of the third, but the Foresters answered with three runs in their half of the inning to tie it 4-4.  Bethel immediately went back to work and added four more in the fourth.  HU again responded with three in the bottom of the inning and knotted the score at 8-8 with a run in the fifth. After two scoreless innings, they headed into an extra frame.  Bethel looked to have the Foresters down for the count when they scored a pair of runs in the top of the eighth, but HU got back up and won the game with three runs in their at-bat.

Josh Clark got the start and the win for the Foresters.  He went three and two-thirds innings and gave up six runs on 10 hits and a walk while striking out one.  Thad Frame led the team with a triple and a timely single that drove in two runs in the bottom of the eighth.  He also scored a run and finished the game with a team-high four RBI.

In game two, HU took advantage of a shaky start by Bethel pitcher, Ryan Robinson, to take an early 3-0 lead.  Robinson walked three and gave up two hits in the first to help the Forester cause.  The Pilots got one back in the third and then made good use of two Forester errors to take a 4-3 lead in the fourth.  In the bottom half of the frame, HU again took advantage of a leadoff walk to tie the score.  Bethel got the game-winner in the top of the fifth with a double by Enrique Odreman and a two-run homerun from Korey Pulluaim.

Levi Sell took the loss for HU.  He went five innings and allowed six runs, three earned, on eight hits and three walks while striking out two.  Korey Grow and Alex Rinearson both had two hits and a RBI in the game.
