Providence High School senior, Kyle Erwin, has committed to play
baseball at Huntington University this fall. During his junior year
the left-handed pitcher was 8-2 with a 2.13 ERA. In 56 innings
pitched, he had 42 strikeouts and only 13 walks. He was named
Honorable Mention All-State.
“We are very pleased
that Kyle has decided to attend HU and play baseball for us,” stated
head baseball coach Mike Frame. “He will have a chance to make an
impact for us as a freshman. He not only has good ability on the
mound, but he has demonstrated the ability to throw consistent
strikes. We think his best baseball is still ahead of him and we are
looking forward to working with him this fall. He is a great addition
to our program.”
