03.14.09 - The Foresters (3-6) put on a hitting clinic against Olivet Nazarene University pounding out 20 hits including eight for extra bases in a 20-1 romp.

HU scored four runs in the first all after there were two outs in the inning.  Tiger pitcher Chad Steinborn walked the bases loaded and Justin Branock doubled in all three.  Jarod Hammel then singled to left to plate Branock for a 4-0 lead.

Eric Schultz led off the top of the second with triple and Ryan Shell drove him in with a double to center.  Rodriguez moved Shell to third on a flyball to center and Andrew Drummond pick up the RBI with a sacrifice fly to right to make it 6-0 after two complete innings.

In the bottom of the third, the Foresters exploded for 10 runs on eight hits and an ONU error. The two big blows in the inning came on a two run blast to left by Cody Richey and a three-run triple by Schultz, his second three-bagger of the game.  HU then added four more in the fourth to make it 20-0.  Chris Hammett helped the Tigers avoid the shutout with a solo homerun in the top of the seventh to make it a 20-1 final.

Drew Taylor picked up the win for HU.  He threw five innings and allowed just two hits while striking out six.  Travis Frantz was a perfect 3-3 at the plate and led the team with four RBI.
