03.16.09 - On day two of their spring break trip to Daytona Beach, the Foresters went 1-1 against William Woods University dropping the opener 9-5, but winning the nightcap 4-2 to move to 4-7 on the season.

In the opener, HU owned a 2-1 lead heading into the bottom of the third, but William Woods plated three in the inning to go up 4-2 and the Owls added four more in the fourth to extend the lead to 8-2.  After trading a run in the sixth, HU pushed two more across in the top of the seventh, but the rally attempt ended there.

Eric Randel was the pitcher of record for the Foresters.  He allowed eight runs on 12 hits and two walks in four innings of work.  Eric Harpring went 2-3 at the plate with a double and a RBI and Eric Schultz was 2-2 with two runs scored.

Both teams scored a pair of runs in their first at-bat in the nightcap and William Woods took the lead with a run in top of the third.  The Owls kept HU at bay until the bottom of the sixth, when the Foresters put up three runs to jump in front 4-2.

Mitch Bowers then retired William Woods in order in the seventh to earn the complete-game victory.  He gave up two runs on six hits and two walks while striking out seven.  Jarod Hammel was 1-3 in the game and had two RBI for HU.
