Ab Blast
► Monday & Thursdays 12pm - 12:45pm This program involves an intensive abdominal and overall core strengthening workout that will not only help you to develop greater core strength but it could also help to alleviate common conditions, such as lower back pain, associated with poor core strength. In this class you will learn a wide variety of exercises that will help you tone your mid-section. We will not only focus on the abdominals, but also the muscles of the lower back, butt, as well as other stabilizing muscle groups. * It is recommended that students purchase a mat, such as a yoga mat, or bring a towel as many exercises will be done on the floor.
Running "First Steps"
►
This program is for individuals who are just
starting, or wanting to start a running/walking regimen. You will learn
the basics of aerobic conditioning, the do's and don'ts of running, and
how to get started out on the right foot. You will be coached in
proper/efficient running form and technique along with the basics of a
proper warm-up/cool down as well as a stretching routine in order to
help you avoid injury.
Running "The Next Step"
►
These sessions are a step up from First Steps. In
this class, a more goal-specific approach to running will be encouraged.
Students will learn to set goals, incorporate them into a training plan,
and will work to achieve them. Whether you're training for a 5k, a
half-marathon, a marathon, or just want to improve your running, this
program will help you take a more focused approach to your training.
Strengthening and Agility
►
This high-intensity program is designed for
sports enthusiasts or those seeking variety in their normal workout
routine. We will focus on improving overall body strength, speed, and
agility through a plyometrics based, circuit-type workout. Exercises
will include things such as ladders, medicine ball, and theraband
routines. If you are looking for an exercise routine that will burn
calories, wake you up in the morning and give you energy for the rest of
your day then this is definitely the place to be. Yoga
► Regular Yoga asana (posture) practice
improves stamina, flexibility, cardiovascular performance, muscle tone,
circulation, and respiration. Other benefits of asana include increased
coordination, balance and may alleviate lower back and leg pain while
improving poor
posture. Sessions also incorporate breathing and relaxation. Zumba
► Zumba fuses Latin rhythms and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away. Our goal is simple: We want you to want to work out, to love working out, to get hooked. Zumba helps achieve long term benefits while experiencing an absolute blast in one exhilarating hour of caloric-burning, body-energizing, awe-inspiring movements meant to engage and captivate for life!
