| 10.16.04 - The
men's cross country team nipped both Wabash College and Earlham College to
win the Manchester College Invitational. The Foresters put two harriers in
the top 10, including Cody Hannie who won the event in 25:59 and Joseph
Waithira who finished ninth in 26:57, for a team score of 86. Wabash and
Earlham tied for second at 88. Tri-State University was fourth with a score
of 102, followed by Kalamazoo College (104), Manchester College (128), Goshen
College (130), Cornerstone University (174), Franklin College (205), and the
University of St. Francis (264). Other HC runners that scored were David St.
Louis (20th, 27:34), John Kagwanja (25th, 27:55) and Ross Luckett (31st,
28:08).
On the women's side, HC finished seventh of nine teams
with a score of 167. Molly Andrews paced the Foresters with a 15th place
finish in 20:33 followed by Brittany Harvey (34th, 21:21), Emily Sealscott
(37th, 21:28), Julie Clawson (40th, 21:40), and Leah Birkey (41st, 21:40).
Manchester College and Goshen College tied with a score of 71 to win the
event. Franklin College was third with 76 followed by Earlham College (81),
Kalamazoo College (105), Cornerstone University (123), HC (167), Tri-State
University (220), and the University of St. Francis (232). |
