10.23.04 - Two Forester harriers, Cody Hannie and Joseph Waithira, earned All-Conference honors with their top 12 finishes in the Mid-Central Conference Championships at Grace College.  The HC men finished third and the women were ninth.  On the men’s side, Spring Arbor University and Indiana Wesleyan University ran a close race with Spring Arbor edging the Wildcats 62 to 64 for the title.  HC was third with 93 points followed by Bethel College and Taylor University who tied for fourth with 127 points, Goshen College in sixth at 128, Marian College seventh at 136, Grace College eighth at 154, and the University of St. Francis ninth at 252.  Hannie paced the Foresters with his eighth place finish in 26:39 and Waithira was twelfth in 26:53.  Other runners scoring for HC were David St. Louis (22nd, 27:57), Ross Luckett (25th, 28:18), and John Kagwanja (26th, 28:18). 

In the women’s meet, Indiana Wesleyan University continued it dominance winning the conference title for the seventh consecutive year.  The Wildcats finished with 32 points followed by Spring Arbor (68), Taylor (89), Goshen (93), Marian (132), Bethel (144), Grace (164), St. Francis (226), and HC (227).  Molly Andrews was HC’s top finisher with her 36th place finish in 20:42.  Other runners for HC were Emily Sealscott (61st, 22:02), Julie Clawson (71st, 22:47), Leah Birkey (75th, 22:58), and Brittany Harvey (78th, 23:17).
