9.25.04 - The cross country teams traveled to Louisville, Kentucky to compete in the Greater Louisville Cross Country Classic. The men ran to a 20th place finish out of 41 teams, while the women finished 24th of 38 teams. Joseph Waithira again set the pace for the Foresters with his 49th place finish in 26:06.81. Cody Hannie came in 65th with a time of 26:20.81 followed by John Kagwanja (140th, 27:23.75), Ross Luckett (156th, 27:36.24), Matt Waldfogel (299th, 29:52.40), Dan Schaber (328th, 31:01.75), and Craig Perry (340th, 33:42.46). Louisville won the Classic with a team score of 40.

On the women’s side, Leah Birkey was HC’s top finisher, placing 128th in 20:26.65. Molly Andrews was 148th in 20:43.77 with Brittany Harvey crossing four seconds later in 151st place. Emily Sealscott finished 190th in 21:21.77, Julie Clawson was 225th in 21:58.35, and Stephanie Stoffel place 277th in 23:24.50. Southeast Missouri State took the women’s title with a team score of 120.
